Produce Protects Health Naturally
Acai:
is a produce that protects as a small, round, black-purple berry with amazing nutritional properties. Altough its appearance is similar to that of a grape, scientific experts have referred to the acai berry as the most nutritious and powerful food in the world. Found only in the Amazon Rain Forest of South America, acai has now been validated with the remarkable wellness benefits of protein, healthy fats, and essential vitamins and minerals. The acai contains over a dozen polyphenols as well as anthocyanins, which contribute the deep red, blue and purple of the plant's appearance. Its benefits include:• Antioxidants• Phytonutrients• Essential fatty acids (Omega 3)• Amino acids• Vitamins, minerals• Complex carbohydrates• Dietary fiber• Trace minerals and more-
-- PLUS -- Acai boasts 10 times the antioxidant benefits of grapes and twice that of blueberries!
Acerola cherries: thrives in the sandy soils.
They are rich in both antioxidants and a range of
important vitamins. Acerola Cherries are an
especially potent source
of Vitamin C.
Almonds: really are one of nature’s superfoods.
A good source of protein, fiber,
and several minerals, they are also high in
vitamin E and vitamin B2, which regulates red blood cell growth and helps maintain a strong immune system by protecting from free-radical damage. Almonds also contain monounsaturated fats, which can help prevent heart disease.
Apricots: provide a rich assortment of
antioxidants and are abundant with soluble fiber,
beta-carotene, magnesium, iron, phosphorous,
potassium and Vitamin C. They also include a
natural salicylate.
Apples: have long been thought to be a
healthy food. It is now known that apples
contain the phytonutrient quercitin, which
prevents the oxidation (damage) of LDL (bad
cholesterol) thus lowering the risk of damage
to our arteries and in turn, the risk of heart disease.
They also contain pectin, a soluble fiber that
seems to be very effective in lowering levels of
blood cholesterol.
Aronia: (Black Chokeberry) juice contains
very high levels of anthocyanins and flavonoids --
five to ten times higher than cranberry juice.
Its beneficial nutrients include antioxidants,
polyphenols, minerals and vitamins, as well as
important trace minerals. Aronia has: • Polyphenols
• Anthocyanidans • Quinic Acid • Vitamins
• Minerals • Flavinols
Avocados: provide more heart healthy
monounsaturated fat, fibre, vitamin E, folic acid
and potassium than most other fruits. They are
also the number one fruit source of beta-sitosterol,
a substance that can reduce total cholesterol.
They also supersede other fruits in the antioxidant
lutein, which, in studies has shown to protect people
from cataracts as well as protecting your
cardiovascular system and preventing prostate cancer.
Bananas: are a common supermarket fruit
and are often taken for granted (few realize the
health benefits bananas bring to them). Bananas
are the ONLY fruit that comes not from trees or
bushes but from large plants that are giant herbs
and are related to the lily and orchid family.
Bananas have been linked to antioxidant protection.
Beets: Beets are not only low calorie but also
packed full of nutrients. They contain high levels of
carotenoids and flavenoids; antioxidants that help
reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol. Beetroot also
contains the mineral silica, which helps the body to
utilize calcium, and therefore important for musculo-
skeletal health as well as reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
Many people juice beetroot for its cleansing and
detoxifying properties.
Bilberry: is a close relative of the blueberry
and is noted for its phytonutrient content. Bilberry
fruit and its extracts contain a number of biologically
active components, including a class of compounds
called anthocyanosides which are potent antioxidants.
Blueberries: They not only look and taste great
but blueberries contain antioxidants known as
anthocyanidins, some of the strongest antidotes to
oxidative stress, which many scientists believe to be
the cause of aging in humans. Until the discovery of the
acai berry, blueberries had the highest antioxidant capacity
among fruits and vegetables. Berries also contain a
phytochemical called ellegic acid, which is thought to
prevent abnormal cellular changes.
Broccoli: might well be considered a mega-superfood. Researchers are finding a wealth of healthy
compounds in this vegetable, which include two power
anti-cancer substances, sulforaphane (which destroys
any carcinogenic compounds that you have ingested) and
Sulforaphane which kills the bacteria Helicobacter pylori
(the cause of stomach ulcers). Broccoli is also a good
source of beta-carotene and potassium, which helps
lower your risk of heart disease.
Camu Camu: berry is the planet’s richest
source of natural Vitamin C. Its content has been
measured as 30-60 times higher than an equal
amount of citrus fruit. The Camu Camu berry is
legendary for its powers.
Cocoa: The main ingredient for chocolate provides
plenty of antioxidant flavenoids, which can help fight
heart disease and cancer. You should choose dark chocolate with a high cocoa percentage. Plus, the
healthiest dark chocolate
contains non-alkalized, non-lecithinized, and "cold-pressed" cocoa powder which retains the highest known antioxidant properties that are only found in the cacao bean. Click^Here(For this kind of healthy dark chocolate.....

Cranberries: Phenols are plant chemicals that lower
oxidation of LDL (bad cholesterol) and cranberries posses
one of the high levels of this healthy substance. Cranberries
can help protect against urinary tract infections, by
preventing the bacterium E.coli from attaching to the
bladder wall cells and infecting them.
Flaxseeds: Flaxseed is the richest plant source of
omega-3 fatty acids, which can help reduce heart disease,
strokes, and inflammatory diseases. Flaxseed also contains high
levels of lignin, a phytoestrogen that is thought to improve
cholesterol profiles and reduce the activity of oestrogen in
the body. Flaxseed is essential for vegetarians who cannot
get their essential fatty acids from sources such as fish.
It comes in seed or oil form but make sure you refrigerate
the oil as it oxidizes easily.
Grapes: The varying colors of grapes
(purple/white) bring a spectrum of antioxidant
protective power to this versatile fruit. Purple
grapes contain resveratrol, the potent antioxidant
found in red wine and other grape products that
have been making headlines around the world.
Kiwi: fruit contains abundant phytonutrients
and has gained fame as a delicious source of ample
amounts of vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin C, trace
minerals and dietary fiber. Native to China, this fruit
is now available in certain juices.
Lychee: has been cultivated in China for well over a
thousand years, and would no doubt have been
a keenly sought after forest fruit in the subtropical
Sino-Vietnamese area. At 72mg of vitamin C
per 100 grams of flesh, lychees are a very good
source for this essential vitamin, as well as
potassium and other nutrients.
Nashi Pears found mainly in China, these pears are a great source of dietary fiber, and
are also very high in potassium and other
essential minerals. They contain nearly 10% of the
USRDA for Vitamin C, and a high concentration
of folates, which make up the Vitamin B complex group.
This is another fruit that is available to us in juice.
Olive Oil: Unlike other oils, olive oil is packed with heart healthy monounsaturated fat as well as antioxidant polyphenols. A diet which is rich in vegetables and olive oil, can reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Oranges: prove even ordinary foods can offer an array of disease resisting compounds. Hesperetin, the main flavonoid in oranges has been shown to help protect against cancer, heart disease, infections and inflammation. Oranges are also a rich source of pectin, which lowers cholesterol, and potassium, which reduces blood pressure.
Passion fruit: is rich in vitamins, minerals
and fiber, including: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus,
potassium, sodium and sulphur and B Vitamins.
The legend of passion fruit dates back to Biblical
time and rainforest natives have for generations
used Passion fruit juice. It is also available to us
in certain juices.
Pears: have been revered throughout time.
Their cultivation has been traced back 3,000 years
in western Asia. They were an exotic food item in
the court of Louis XIV and were called the “gift of
the gods” by Homer in his epic, The Odyssey.
Pears have been linked to Antioxidant protection.
Pomegranate: juice contains more antioxidants
than even red wine, green tea, blueberry juice, cranberry
juice or orange juice. Studies show that pomegranate
juice is one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants,
containing more polyphenol antioxidant than any other
drink. Find a juice with this in it!
Prunes: are dried plums, rich in minerals and
phenols, plus they have an extremely high ORAC value.
The drying process actually increases antioxidant powers
by more than six times! USDA researchers believe that
people of all ages should add prunes to their diets.
Pumpkin: along with squash, carrots and sweet potatoes are great sources of beta-carotene. They are also the number one source of alpha carotene, a cancer inhibitor potentially more powerful than beta-carotene. They also provide vitamins B5, C, E, potassium, calcium and fiber. Your body can convert alpha and beta-carotene into vitamin A for the maintenance of healthy skin and bones, good vision, and a robust immune system.
Salmon: Becuase of Omega 3 fatty acids, this superfood has been linked with protecting against breast and other cancers and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and asthma. Omega 3 is also essential for brain and heart health, and helps with accelerated learning and attention span in children. The omega-3s found in salmon have a broad array of beneficial cardiovascular effects such as making blood less likely to clot inside arteries. This is also very good source of the B-vitamins, niacin and vitamin B12.
Tomatoes: may significantly reduce the risk of cancer due to lycopene, a carotenoid found in tomatoes. It is best to cook your tomatoes before you eat them as this makes the lycopene more easily absorbable. Tomatoes also contain potassium, vitamin C, and beta-carotene, which is essential for the
immune system
and healthy skin.
Whole Grains: may also lower the risk of heart disease.
These include brown rice, millet, oats and whole grain
bread. Whole grains help prevent colon, breast and prostate
cancer because the complex carbohydrates and fiber slow
the release of blood sugar providing a great slow energy
source. Fiber can also help to prevent constipation,
encourages the growth of “friendly “bacteria in the gut,
and aids the removal of toxins from the body.
