Healthy Kids Need Superfoods, Too
Children deserve to be nourished in the best possible way.
Avoiding the deficiency of junk foods and colas during this tender period can help prevent lifelong ailments.
Yes, we all have or know kids who want and love non-nutritious
foods. But, children who start off healthy can become increasingly unhealthy
-- without some help.
So, you shouldn’t let your child be driven solely by these
wrong diet choices
-- (easier said than done, I know).
It's our duty (as parents) to shape our child's diet in such a way that...
...both health and taste serve them for a lifetime.
Children’s nutrition should include a range of
superfoods which, when prepared well, will even be
enjoyed by them.

Superfoods for kids are well represented by
nutrient dense greens.
Dark green leafy vegetables are meant for the overall development of your child’s growth. Some of the minerals and vitamins present in greens cannot be supplemented by any
other food source.
Even if your child creates a fuss, you might just help keep your healthy kid away from deadly diseases down the road like cancer and heart disease through these superfoods.
Your child might be too little to understand
these things. But how can you remain indifferent?
Of course, not all superfoods for kids are yellow or green.
In fact, it is entirely wrong to keep your child away from chocolates, although it's a slight misnomer to call all chocolates a superfood.
However, researchers have proven that
healthy dark chocolate
is a very rich superfood and a "must" for growing children.
Theobromine, for example, is a key component of dark chocolate which regulates the function of hormones and helps control blood pressure.
Raw cocoa contains flavonols, which are a subclass of flavonoids -- natural chemicals also found in plants, fruits and vegetables.
(To see the science behind the world's "healthiest" dark chocolate,

While all flavonoids are antioxidants, some have stronger antioxidant properties than others, depending on their chemical structure.
Quite a few studies have confirmed the
potent antioxidant properties,
and subsequent health benefits, of raw cocoa powder. (You can even make money with a
healthy chocolate business.)
Of course, moms have to "set the example," which means, healthy dark chocolate for them, too! Check it out:

Remember, though, healthy living for moms means exercising, too, along with a healthy diet.
Now, I'm not going to promise you a
bikini body
like Ally J. But you can check out her ebook (Click Here!) on how to lose weight and avoid female health issues through proper diet and exercise.
So, the
powerful antioxidants
help protect the heart. And when you start your child on superfoods at a young age, it really diminishes the chances of degenerative problems later in life.
All the
fruits
are vitamin rich and most contain Vitamin E and Vitamin C. Both these vitamins are vital for your child’s health.
Obviously, vitamin deficiency can cause problems with your child’s well being. Vitamins E and D aid in providing
strong bones and muscular growth. And Vitamin C nurtures the body’s
immunity strength.
Your child may or may not like fish. In either case, fish provides important nutrients, mainly omega-3 fatty acids, which helps supply protein.
Along with
eating superfoods,
wild salmon, tuna, Alaskan halibut and albacore are very good choices for your children; and you too.
And no matter what you give your children to eat, most kids don’t particularly like berries or lots of vegetables.
But even if they consider them to be tasteless and drab, we
serve our children well when we serve them superfoods.
Just remember, when these
superfoods
are introduced early in life, your child's taste buds can be trained to enjoy
nutrient-dense foods
that will ensure a high quality of healthy life for years to come.
