Healthcare Costs is American BIG Business
How much do Americans pay for healthcare?
Don't ask!!
Healthcare costs for osteoporosis now effects 80% of postmenopausal women at a staggering $4 billion a year.
Bypass surgery is a $5 billion a year healthcare business.
The National Institute of Diabetes says that total healthcare and related costs for the treatment of diabetes run about $132 billion annually.
Of this total, direct medical costs (e.g., hospitalizations, medical care, treatment supplies) account for about $92 billion.
The other $40 billion covers indirect healthcare expenses such as disabiliy payments, time lost from work, and premature death.
But that's just a drop in the bucket compared to the estimated 2.4 TRILLION dollars healthcare costs spent during 2007.
In fact, Americans are spending more per capita than any other nation on earth. And we're not the healthiest nation around, either --
(-- see our
modern American diet
-- need I say more?)
Yes, I'm upset over the billions of dollars caused by treating SAD; but I'll let Kevin Trudeau and others drill the system.
My part (and hopefully, yours) is simply to change some things in our diet so as not to become a part of those numbers.
Of course, I realize that it's not possible to eradicate these statistics. I'd just want to prune them as much as possible -- through
living superfoods!
Don't you?

Superfoods Have Antioxidants
Highest ORAC antioxidants and damaging free radicals are constantly fighting an unseen battle at the cellular level.
Maintenance of healthy cells requires healthy nutrients -- like the highest ORAC antioxidants
in healthy dark chocolate -- to neutralize dangerous "oxidized" free radical cells.
